Looking to give the G 650 GS series the same sort of off-road credibility that the larger GSes have, the new Sertão is designed for more rigorous dirt use than the standard 650 GS.

To that goal, the Sertão has longer- travel suspension with firmer settings, as well as spoked-wheels.

The 652cc thumper puts out a maximum of 48 horsepower at 6500 rpm, with an optional power curve that limits the motor to 34 horses.

A 21-inch front wheel gives the Sertão the ability to roll over off-road obstacles, as well as a wider choice of dirt-friendly tires.
