For a cool $3.6 million, one lucky rider will get the chance to build the racing bike of his or her dreams, the Ecosse Spirit ES1.
ECOSSE SPIRIT was formed by the two exceptional U.K. F1 engineers and the U.S. designer/manufacturer to bring extraordinary concepts to the motorcycle world. Their first model, ES1, is set to make motorcycle history.
The design drivers behind the bike are relatively simple: light weight, low aerodynamic drag and improved rider ergonomics. But achieving profound improvements in all areas has required genuinely inventive steps to bring F1 technology to the motorcycle world. Using state-of-the-art CAD, FEA and CFD software, the ES1 features:
- Integrated & fully stressed engine/gearbox
- Novel Suspension design
- Optimization of aerodynamics, ergonomics and
packaging
The ESI has a frameless chassis with unique suspension design at both ends of the bike. The front and rear suspension use torsion springs fitted on the swingarm pivots and F1 spec dampers mounted directly between swingarm and engine
I know it might be a tad cold outside to start thinking about motorcycles, but the Ecosse Spirit ES1 is hot enough to warm you up a little. Sure it’s a racing bike, but a few modifications could make it street legal, no problem. And what street wouldn’t be better off when graced with its aerodynamic, eye-catching design?. The Ecosse Spirit ES1 was introduced with great fanfair. The bike was somewhat revolutionary due to its chassis design, which allows the rider to ride lower on the bike and keep his knees together. The carbon fiber body is extremely lightweight, which increases maneuverability and speed.
