The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world.
Moto-Terminators are automated motorcycles, produced by Skynet sometime before 2018, whose main purpose is to hunt down humans. A specialized cold weather version of the Moto-Terminator, known as the Snowminator, is deployed in operation on patrol in the Alaskan Wilderness. The Moto-Terminator has red optic sensors and plasma emitters on its sides. The Harvester stores Moto-Terminators in its lower legs and releases them to round up fleeing humans and make them easier to capture.
The Moto-Terminators are seen to possess incredible agility, with the sensors calculating debris or obstacles ahead, even viewing them in slow motion. With this trait, they easily avoid any obstacle, such as a car wreckage. The Moto-Terminator apparently seems to be the fastest land based Terminator, with top speeds of 200 miles per hour.
Ducati North America announced that “Terminator Salvation” has made the Ducati’s Hypermotard 1100 to take a new form as Moto-Terminators.
Converted Moto-Terminator
Later, when setting out to rescue Kyle in Skynet Central located in San Francisco, John Connor captured a Moto-Terminator patrolling on the road and hacked into its system. John then rode the converted Terminator, heading to San Francisco. Connor also stole one of its electronic eyes to gain access to Skynet through several security gates. This Moto-Terminator was originally patrolling on the road somewhere nearby the Tech-Com base. It got attention of the sound from “You Could Be Mine” from a boombox placed in the mid of the road by John Connor.
The Terminator immediately headed for the source of the sound in high speed, only to meet an accident due to the trap set up by John Connor with a thick rope. Upon seeing the Terminator is down, John quickly comes to its side and grabs it. John removes its optical sensor and uses a device to override its program successfully. Now, the Terminator is his.
John rides the Terminator to the ruin of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and possible abandons it there since the bridge is no longer for any vehicle running on it. Later, the Terminator’s optical sensor is used by John Connor to access the control panel on a door in Skynet Central to unlock the door.
